One of our main jobs every winter is to construct new tee markers. We are very fortunate to be able to use trees around the golf course to construct these tee markers saving us a great deal of money versus buying tee markers outright. Usually our tee markers will only last us a year due to weathering where they will start to split and rot by the end of the year.
We cut 6-8 inch pieces with 45 degree angles at each end. Each tee marker is stained then at each end primed and painted either black, blue, or white, yellow depending to the tee location. Two nails are then driven into the tee marker to support tee into the ground.
